![]() Either pay for better service for yourself or pay a broker to take more of your money. ![]() Quotes and software for like $100-200 a month is nothing, it is something but with the power of LS it is a wash if you’re good. The amount in fees you pay is probably less than money lost on TOS or other companies routing your orders or your slow orders on other platforms. Like you said you pay for probably the fastest order execution and order confirmation back to you on the market. Schwab is a little better but nothing like TOS was thinking about going over there soon but really think I’ll go with lightspeed. Fidelity is good for orders and free trades but entering order is awful so long. I’ve used schwab and fidelity the last 2.5 years and was okay but lags with schwab and fidelity has been fine except some weird platform issues. Their trades just look better though because they have years of practice vs being a newer trader and guessing where the right entry is. It's likely if you clicked your market order at the exact same time they are on lightspeed, you'd have a better execution price than them. You should also keep in mind with lightspeed, the YouTubers you're seeing scalping with it are buying on the ask and selling on the bid. I've been noticing that TOS actually has really good market fills on those micro dips. But if you're buying the market, try to get in on a dip or a pullback. ![]() I started using the ladder as it took a lot of the impulse emotions out of buying/selling because I had to think about the price I wanted to get in at. Price executions on TOS definitely aren't the greatest, but you'll get used to it. Plus know that you'll have commissions and ECN fees for every order in/out at lightspeed where it's free on TOS.
